Hi, My coworker has a Ansys Zemax OpticStudio 2023 R1.03 version. I have a non-sequential archive file saved from a 2024 R2.01 version. My co worker cannot open my file in his version. Is it normal or did we do something wrong?

Thanks for helping

@Erkang Wang ,

I have seen this bug as well and have reported it to Ansys. I believe that they confirmed that it is a bug. One possible workaround is to open the zmx file that you want to archive in an earlier version of Zemax and then make the archive with that version for sharing. You may be able to share the project folder too by compressing it separately. I haven’t tried the latter.

Sincerely,

Thanks Michael. My coworker just upgraded his version and now it's all good.
