How can I "turn on" NSC shaded model? I have a premium edition, it is supposed to work.

You may find the NSC Shaded Model tool under the Analyze/System Viewers tab in the ribbon bar:
You can adjust the plot settings directly in the NSC Shaded Model window, under the Settings tab.
Please make sure to add Layout Rays to your sources in the Non-Sequential Component Editor to visualize the ray paths!
