How to design TE and TM polarization laser source diodes in non sequential mode?

Best answer by David

Hi Aparna,

The polarization of a source, for example a Source Diode, can be set in the Object Properties dialog of each individual source. Jx and Jy refer to the initial amplitudes of the x and y components of the electric field. Whether a ray is TE or TM when striking a substrate depends on its orientation with respect to the plane of incidence.

There is a nice article on this here.
