I’m not sure if that’s what you mean but if I create a new file, open the TDE, save the file as ZMX or ZOS (I tried both), close file, and reopen the file. The TDE is still there. I also tried closing OS in between and the TDE remains open.

I have OS 2024 R1.00.

This is exacly the behaviour I would expect.

Unfortunately in my case the TDE window is immediately closed upon file re-opening. See below:

The same happens to me with your file in R1.00. We can see that the TDE opens during loading, but then closes when the file finishes loading.

I cleared the TDE but that doesn’t solve the issue.

One thing that kinds of work though is this:

• Close OS
• Delete the session (ZDA) file
• Reopen your file in OS
• Rerun your analyses, open the TDE, and save the file (a new ZDA is created)

When you delete the ZDA you loose all the analyses settings, so I only tested with the default settings of the analyses you had open. Under this condition, it seems to work.

I’m attaching my kind-of-working archive. Try changing the analyses settings and check that the TDE keeps on opening normally if you want to figure out if its related to a particular analysis setting.

Such an odd behavior anyway… I would report it as a bug 😔

I think I have figured out what is happening, even though I don’t have an idea about what actually generated the issue in the first place.

The bugged ZDA and the working ZDA are below compared:

The wrong file recalls the TDE with a “PreviousContainerId” keyword, while the working ZDA does not.

Please, you can find attached a minimal example.

Good work on finding this difference. I would just check with ANSYS now. I don’t think any of us on the forum can fix this 😋
