Hi

I am trying to add surface form error individually on a lens and a flat window of λ/5 on both sides. Optical drawing doesn't mention the kind of aberration this surface form error brings. How do I perform this using zernike coefficients with the surface type of zernike standard sag?

Hello,

there could be different ways to do that.

What is your goal ? Running a MonteCarlo to see how your system behaves ? Adding a random set of Zernike coefficients and work with it ?

I have to add λ/5 surface form error on flat window. I want to know how do I analyse and confirm if λ/5 surface error is added on the 1st and 2nd surface of my flat window after running either of the two. OPD mentions maximum scale in terms of waves and when I calculate the rms from the data points given in OPD plot, it doesn't matches with rms value given in Wavefront map. Let me know if I am doing any mistake in the basic understanding of the formulas.

Thank you

Did you try using the Surface sag tool ?
