Hey friends, the object nesting rules is quite confusing sometimes to me. I have a ball lens, connected with a tube volume with the same material and an optical fiber sending photons to it. See below. 

Rays should not be bent here. What is wrong? Can anyone help?

The nesting rule is working perfectly fine, it’s just that your Source Radial is not “seeing” the Cylinder Volume because it starts exactly at the same location as the Cylinder Volume.  You should either use the Inside Of flag on the Source Radial if the source is supposed to be inside the cylinder or make the Z Position of Source Radial slightly more negative than the Glue Distance (-1e-5 can work if you haven’t changed the default values in System Explorer > Non-Sequential).

Remember, the nesting rule applies to everything in the NCE, even sources.
