Hi all,

So far, I finished designing a few imaging systems with low f-number for small and large FOVs (collimating lenses).

I have to design a much more complicated system, with a larger field of view (48 full FOV), larger entrance pupil diameter (32 mm, although each field fills a much smaller area in the pupil), 17mm EFL, RGB source. Stop similiar to the one in smartphone camra lens (near the detector/display) can't be used.

Unfortunately, I didn’t find any reference design to use as a starting point.

Do someone familiar with this kind of system?

Attachad here one of the previous system.

Thanks in advance,

Nadav

Hi Nadav,

The best resource I can think of for this is https://www.lens-designs.com/lens-designs . Look in the Smartphones section.

Hi all,

Thanks Mark for the link to the online library! That is definitely a cool resource to have handy.

Nadav, in case it helps in the future, if you have a Subscription license, you could find some utility in the Design Templates (accessible via the Libraries tab...Design Templates):

I took a quick look through the designs, and I didn't see any template that looked like an obvious smartphone lens, but you could filter designs based on your specific criteria that you mentioned in your post:

You might be able to find some other starting points with this tool (if not for this particular project, then perhaps for others down the line!). Let us know if you have any other questions here!

Hi,

Mark, thanks for the reference. I'll check it.

Angel - I forget about the design templates. I look into it.

Best regards,

Nadav
