Hello,
When tolerancing several parameters at the same time using Inverse Sensitivy Limit, should I expect the same final result as if I tolerance over each individual parameter?
Thank you,
Narciso

Hello Narciso,
Yes you should expect the same result as the Sensitivity or Inverse Sensitivity analyses run with one toleranced parameter at a time.
So the Inverse Sensitivity analysis will read the Tolerance Data Editor line by line, and will adjust the tolerances when:
Criterion (parameter +/ tolerance) > Limit
Let us know if this is clearer.

Hello Sandrine,
First of all, thank you for your reply.
That means that while doing the tolerance analysis, Sensitivity or Inverse Sensitivity, Zemax considers each parameter individually, correct?
Thank you,
Narciso
Yes, each parameter is considered individually.
Thank you
Hello again,
One last question,
When tolerancing several parameters and if each is considered individually, the overall effect of all the parameters after tolerancing on the merit funcion is given by the Monte Carlo Analysis?
Thank you,
Narciso
