How to optimize lens design?

I am studying lens design.

I want to design a simple mobile lens.

But I don't know how to do it.

Through various papers, I learned that the patented lens is modified to design the desired lens.

So I searched for a patent related to the mobile lens, but there is no design method.

Any tips on lens design? When I go through optimization, I get very strange lens geometry.

There is no one around to teach me.

I have basic knowledge about how to use zemax.

I am a current student and want to work as an optical design researcher, but my skills are lacking.

You mentioned 'Part3: Mobile photon lens' on your YouTube 'The Basic Shapes of Imaging Systems: Part 1'.

Where is ‘Part 3’?

I subscribed and watched up to Part 2.

Thanks.

I’m afraid I haven’t done part 3 yet...Tune in sometime in 2022 for that!

But it’s the same process, using aspheres instead of adding extra surfaces.
