I’m developping a telecentric lens.
I would like to know how I can get the telecentricity error in degrees…..I didn’t find any output about this in Opticstudio reports

Hi Ste64,
There’s a Merit Function called RAID, which gives the Ray Incidence Angle in Degree. My OpticStudio license has recently expired, but I answered somebody else’s question some time ago. Have a look at this:
Hope this helps.

Hi David,
since I’m using Object Height as field with telecentricity in object space, how can I find the lens telecentricity error in degrees?
Hi Ste64,
I guess it depends on your definition of telecentricity error in degree. Do you have a drawing or mathematical definition of this error? Can you not add a paraxial lens after your lens to produce an image in the image space and use RAID? In my mind it only makes sense to talk about telecentricity if you form an image, but that’s maybe because I come from the microscopy field.
Take care,
David
