Hello all,
are there any ways to roughly evaluate optical system inserting just resulted optical parameters such as EFL, distortion, FoV etc, without actually designing the system?
The minimum task is to simulate different distortion of 180˚ FoV lenses, it would be ideal to have something like image simulation instrument.
Any inputs are appreciated.

I don’t think you need OpticStudio for modeling distortion of a generic fisheye lens. The following Wikipedia page may be of help: Fisheye Lens
You can use the various mapping functions that can describe a fisheye lens to estimate distortion.
