Hello everyone,

I have already designed a microscope objective with the following characteristics:

  • Working Distance: 200 mm
  • Effective Focal Length: 40 mm

Now, I need to design a simple tube lens with the following requirement:

f_tube lens+f_objective=L

where L is the distance between the two lenses.

My goal is to align the front focal point of the objective with the back focal point of the tube lens at the aperture stop.

Is there a solution to achieve this ?

Thank you in advance.

Hi Rasoul,

It can be easily done by setting up the object space same as  microscope objective focal plane in terms of its image height, image space NA, and tele centricity.

A sample file  with paraxial lenses with dummy spec. is attached for reference.

Thanks :)
