Hey everyone! Is it possible just change the complete stack formula in Coating.dat? For example I will just give a new coating name and write a new precise stack for a filter consinting of  some high-low materials (For example TA2O5 and SIO2). Would it work?

From the peviuos Question

,as i understood, it can be easily done, is it right?

But here, for example, i did not find information about “changing” the stacks from Coating.dat:

https://support.zemax.com/hc/en-us/articles/1500005576842-Common-examples-from-Essential-Macleod-coatings

Is there something interesting to consider/ maybe there are some limitations?

Thanks

Yes, it will work. Check the manual for details.

Great, Andrey! But this “stack-created-filter” would only work for normal light incidence, right? Is it possiblie to add angular dependency similar to “tabulated” filters from coating.dat (there I add just additionsl table with other ANGL)?

I believe if you have a full coating data with thickness/materials you will have real performance for different angle of incidence.

I will try! thank you, Andrey!
