Corning HPFS 7979 glass material

Hi,

I want to use Corning HPFS 7979 glass material which has very good transmission in the IR region. I didn’t find the corning.agf glass material in any of the glass catalog. Is somewhere else it is there, where can i find that glass in the catalog. Can any help in this regard will be appreciated.

Hello,

if the catalog is nowhere to find, you can still create your own custom catalog and add the glasses you need to use, as all needed parameters are presente in the glass brochure :

Hi sebastien,

 

Thanks for the information, creating glass catalog from the existing glasses is ok, Is there any particular document information/procedure how to input the glass brochure data into the new glass as some confusion exists while inputting the information like dispersion & thermal data etc

The dispersion of the glass can be computed when you have entered all refactive indexes/ wavelength pairs.
