Calculating Resolution of Lenses

I am fairly new to zemax, and have some very basic questions that should not take long to answer by those familiar with this program.

I am working on a designing a lens system involving a grism for taking in certain wavelengths and collecting data. I would like to find the expected resolution of the lens in its current state, but am not sure what the best way to go about this is. My first thought was to make a flux vs wavelength graph and use the RMS to calculate the resolution? But even if this is the most optimal way to calculate the resolution, I cannot quite get it to work. Any pointers?

Thanks,

Hi @carson_cummings !

Have a look at that tutorial about spectrometers: https://www.zemax.com/blogs/free-tutorials/how-to-build-a-spectrometer
