It looks like there’s a bug in saving/load comments in the Field Data Editor.

I have checked the issue and find that there is some problem in loading the comments in the field data editor as you described. Thanks for bringing this into our attention. I will go ahead, and check this with the developers and file an internal bug report if necessary.
