Is there a way to model and analyze a system using physical optics calculations instead of a ray trace?

OpticStudio does have physical optic capacilities. However, beam propagation and the options for setting up propagation analysis is a fairly complex subject, which has been documented in our Knowledgebase in more detail than can be provided here.
