NSC-Object is tunneled

Hello,

I have a NSC-file where an object is not hit by a ray though it is clearly in the beam path.

The tunneled object (#26) does not create a hit during the trace.

I have checked, all 'ignore' flags i know of. I really do not see why this object is not hit.

Any hint is appreciated

In the last file are some coatings that I removed.

The problem seems to disappear on activating ray scattering during the trace.

Question reamains: Why?

Hi Axel,

It looks like you have a combination of settings that is causing your system to behave that way. On object 24 in the object properties for Type settings, in the Consider Objects field you have it set to 28. This means that you are specifying that object 28 will be the next one hit, so 26 can be ignored. The scattering appears to supercede this, though I'm not sure where this is specified. I'll look further at that, but for now it is the Consider Objects field that is causing 26 to be skipped over.
