Hello all,I would like to model a radially symmetric diffuser shown below in Zemax. Any thoughts or recommendations on how to accomplish this? I’m hoping there is an efficient approach that takes advantage of the radial symmetry, and I’m not forced to create this as a 2D grid phase or grid sag surface. The most relevant section from the attached paper is below. Thanks in advance for your help,John
I would like to analyze stray light in non-sequential mode over a range of focus travel. Scripting this seems necessary given the duration for ray tracing and the large number of focus positions needed. I’m sure this is a common task and I’m reaching out for any possible example scripts. The basic functions would beRun ray trace Save detector output (inverse gray scale, incoherent irradiance, log -10 as image file) Update Z position of object Repeat steps 1-3Everything except step 2 seems straight forward, so I’m mainly looking for help with saving detector data.My preference would be to work directly in ZPL, but can work via the API (Matlab preferred) .Thanks in advance for any help,John
Is there a way to search for a glass across all the catalogs?More broadly, I’d like a Glasscat “database” view where I can view, filter, and combine glasses from all catalogs in an efficient way. Any tips or tricks would be appreciated.Thank you,John
If you system has vignetting, is there a way to list surface(s) are doing the vignetting?Thank you,John
